Principal / Designer
Donohoe Design’s founder Ryan Donohoe graduated with honours from the Landscape Horticulture Program at Capilano College in North Vancouver (2006) and furthered his education at one of the top design schools in Europe; the prestigious Inchbald School of Design (2012).
Spending a year studying in London for his MA was a transformative year. It allowed Ryan to not only explore the world of art and architecture, both of which heavily influence his garden design trade, but also allowed him to learn the techniques for skilled garden design from some of the best in the business.

Violet has only been working with Donohoe Design for a short time, but has proven to be a true connoisseur of landscape design. Specifically, she enjoys low flowering groundcovers (within bite range), and believes wholeheartedly in consistent aeration and irrigation of garden beds. Violet can usually be found in the office at Donohoe Design, and since her secretarial skills leave much to be desired, she focuses on greeting visitors and afternoon nap quality control.
